Estevan Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was out in the community with its annual Spooky Ambulance for Halloween on Saturday.

One of the reports of a potential increased COVID-19 exposure at an Estevan business by the Saskatchewan Health Authority was an error.

Residents of the Estevan area were out celebrating Halloween Saturday night. Families could be seen in the neighbourhoods, visiting homes and seeking candy. The familiar refrain of “trick or treat” echoed throughout the evening.

There are 78 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Oct. 31, bringing the total to 3,144 cases. Forty-one new cases are in the Saskatoon region, and 18 are in the Regina area.

Shop Estevan is going to host its first event on Saturday. The Great Pumpkin Carve will happen in honour of Halloween. Families can drop by a participating business, and pick up a pumpkin, a pumpkin scoop and a treat bag Saturday from 2-3 p.m.

The Estevan RCMP is investigating the theft of a generator that occurred overnight on Oct. 25 or 26.

There are 76 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Oct. 30, bringing the total to 3,066 cases. Two new cases are in the southeast region, but for the second straight day, neither of them are from Southeast Zone 4, which includes Estevan.
