Local youths are being encouraged to develop their passions during the TD Summer Reading Program at the Estevan Public Library.

The Souris Valley Theatre’s first main-stage show of the summer is a comedy written by a southeast playwright. Homecoming, written by Griffin’s Leeann Minogue, will run from July 11-14 and 17-21.

Crocus 80 is looking for interested, enthusiastic and dedicated 6-18 year olds to come out for their Youth Summer Theatre program, as they will put on eight more stage adaptations of Robert Munsch stories.

The Estevan Art Gallery and Museum has a new addition. An enormous ice cream cone sculpture is now located at the front entrance of the building. It measures an estimated 17 feet in length and nearly five feet in height.

The Souris Valley Theatre has announced the details of its kickoff concert next month. Singer Tenille Arts, who hails from Weyburn, will perform on July 7 at the theatre’s Frehlick Hall. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the concert is at 7:30 p.m.

The Estevan Exhibition Association's domestics show that was part of the Estevan Fair was once again well-supported and well-attended. The show was held on Tuesday and Wednesday inside the recently-renovated exhibition building.
