Saskatchewan residents now have the option to update and submit their health card registration information directly online at any time that is convenient to them.

The Weyburn Fire Department has a new crew of furry friends to help make the lives of hurt and scared children a little brighter. Caring employees at Western Financial Group donated more than 20 hand-built teddy bears for the department to give away.

On March 7 the Carlyle and District Lions Club is holding their 22nd Annual Fundraising Dinner, Raffle, and Auction at Memorial Hall. Viewing of items will begin at 5:30 p.m. while happy hour starts at 6 p.m. and supper at 7 p.m.

The inaugural meeting of the Weyburn Newcomer Advocacy Committee (WNAC) was held on January 23 at the Weyburn Public Library.

Between Feb. 15 and Feb. 21 the Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to 50 calls. On Feb. 15 there was a false alarm call at a business in Kenosee Lake. An employee was on site and called RCMP immediately to let them they were not needed.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of February 17 to 23: During the reporting period, the Weyburn Police Service received 75 calls for service.

On Feb. 20, the town council meeting was held. They affirmed that letters for the Business Retention and Expansion meeting were sent out and hope to see many attend on Mar. 22.

There are 26 GFK student leaders and 4 chaperones attending the very first "We Day Saskatchewan" at the Credit Union Centre on February 27th, 2013! The students are getting very excited about this day that is centered around social action.
