The Senior Boys Curling Team from Carlyle's Gordon F. Kells High School became Saskatchewan's provincial curling champions, Saturday, March 11 in Assiniboia.

The 2016-17 hockey season came to an end for the Weyburn Red Wings on Tuesday evening, as they lost 4-3 to the Battlefords North Stars, who swept the Wings in four straight to win the quarter-final SJHL playoff series.

The Assiniboia Senior Rebels won the Notekeu League Championship in a nail-biter game six on March 18 in Assiniboia. The Rebels overcame the Mossbank Blades after two sudden death overtime periods in a tight 6-5 win in the series final on home ice.
