The Yorkton United U18/16 Girls soccer participated in the Saskatchewan Soccer Provincial Championships in Lloydminster July 1-3. The first game of the round robin was against Swift Current United.

After a pair of losses the Yorkton Cardinals got back to winning in Western Major Baseball League action Monday. The Weyburn Beavers were at Jubilee Park where Yorkton jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the second inning.

YUFC U14 Boys finished their season on a high note this past weekend with the ultimate win: Gold at Provincials in Lloydminster on the Canada Day long weekend. This marks the end of a successful season for the team coached by Michael Chapman.

A special event to celebrate and award team members of the Canora Soccer Club was held on June 23 at the Canora Splash Park.

The Canora Supers wrapped up this year’s regular baseball season on June 20, after having continued their winning streak from earlier in the season and closed with nine of their 14 games won.

The Yorkton Crush hosted its year ending tournament June 25 at the J.C. Ball Complex diamonds. A total of 27 U12 and U16 teams from all over the region competed in the event.

Recently, Calvin Daniels and Trevor Lyons were in Bredenbury designing a new disc golf course in that community.

The Parkland Minor Baseball League hosted a baseball clinic for all mosquito aged baseball players from the Parkland League. The Clinic was conducted by the Western Major Baseball League Yorkton Cardinals.
