A child safety registration organization will be in North Battleford this week, offering an electronic identification service that can provide police and emergency service with a child's picture and information in a crisis situation.

Battlefords Rural RCMP say a highway crash has claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman from Saskatoon.

Battlefords RCMP were called out to about 30 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Monday, May 12 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 13. Among those calls were two traffic related issues, one false/nuisance 911 call and one municipal bylaw complaint.

Martin Night, 26, has been arrested in connection with an investigation into an armed robbery in North Battleford May 5. North Battleford RCMP say the arrest was made in Saskatoon in partnership with the Saskatoon Police Service.

A grass fire in the King Hill area burned over about 10 acres on a windy afternoon Monday. North Battleford Fire Department dispatched a full range of resources to battle the blaze at about 3 p.m.
