Unity RCMP responded to areport of an armed suicidal man in the early morning hours of Nov. 8. Unity members located the man in a rural area north of the town of Wilkie. The 25-year-old male was found to be intoxicated and armed with a loaded rifle.

The Royal Canadian Legion Speers-Hafford Branch No. 116 held a Remembrance Day service at the Hafford Communiplex, Nov. 11. More than 100 people attended. Rolland Pelletier marched in the colours and recited the Act of Remembrance To Our Heroic Dead.

Centennial mural created

Several members of the Battlefords Art Club used their artistic abilities to paint on the large mural the club is creating for the City of North Battleford's 100th anniversary celebrations in 2013.
