Few places around North Battleford bore the brunt of last Monday's storm more than the farm of Ray and Linda Hebert.

There are some things about which it is best to be ignorant. Take bittersweet chocolate, for example. Of all my culinary sins, overindulgence in chocolate is not one of them but a friend recently introduced me to some mighty powerful temptation.

RADCHENKO - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Aina Sophia Radchenko (nee Alm), late of Battleford, SK on June 25, 2012 at the age of 84 years.

ANDRES, Helen ; Helen was born in Battleford, Saskatchewan on November 26, 1928 and passed from this life on June 21, 2012 in Strathmore, Alberta at the age of 83 years.

At noon Sunday, June 10, a gentleman left the Mr. Ribs restaurant and paid for all the noon lunches that were being eaten at the time. He was gone when the waitress explained what he had done.

The Light of Christ Catholic School Division and Living Sky School Division have partnered again this year to offer literacy camps for students in Grades 1 through 6.
