Dear Editor In the night between Oct. 5 and 6, my yearling horse was murdered. I found his lifeless body 200 yards from my home. He was chased through the pasture long enough to be shot twice. The fear he must have felt would make anyone sick.

A grass fire threatened agricultural product storage tanks along Wearing Road early Sunday morning. North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services were called out at about 12:45 a.m. to douse the brush and grass fire in the ditch.
