NIPAWIN — A semi-truck proved too tall for residential roads in Nipawin after it pulled down SaskTel fibre optic cables. On June 27, at 8:56 pm, the Nipawin Fire Department was dispatched to a call of downed power lines in town.

HUMBOLDT — Twenty-one swimmers from the Humboldt Hammerheads gathered 10 first place finishes, 10 second place finishes and 19 third place finishes at a swim meet in Regina.

MELFORT — The Melfort Mustangs have traded Tisdale’s Parker Fofonoff and Prince George’s Braeden Young to the Dauphin Kings. The trade of the two forwards was made to complete a Jan. 10 deal involving George King.
