Did you see the nice picture and article about the old Lutheran Church at Robinhood in the winter issue of Westworld? An historical piece of architecture, still with us.

At the last meeting of the Maidstone Legion Ladies' Auxiliary, members decided to meet every three months for the winter. The December meeting was held as a Christmas supper and gift exchange.

A presentation of $5,000 was made by David Buckingham, on behalf of Canada Pump and Power Corporation of Ardrossan, Alta., to the Borden volunteer firefighters, Dec. 3.

Kevin Bossert was elected as the new representative for Division 4 in the Rural Municipality of Manitou Lake, No. 442 by-election, held Nov. 27. Bossert had a total of 18 votes while his opponent, Rick Swanstrom, had nine votes.

The lights are up. The shopping is done. Everything is wrapped and baked. There is no stress leading up to this Christmas.

Although there was a large crowd in the Neilburg Community Hall, all was silent at 11 a.m. Nov. 11, as those in attendance paused for two minutes of silence to reflect upon the sacrifice of those who were lost in the conflict.

Christmas lights are going up in many places in the village. As has been the custom for the last few years the lights will be judged by a group of people who will be Christmas carolling around the village.

Marsden Jubilee School held their annual Scholastic Book Fair from Nov. 19 through 22, during the week of parent/teacher interviews. The school made a profit of $961.74 to be used towards purchasing product for the school.
