It's not every day you hear a wonderful story of a random act of kindness, but on a warm September morning, kindness spread its warm fingers across Luseland.

The Manitou Evangelical Free Church in Neilburg hosted Vacation Bible School Aug. 19 to 23. A whopping 57 children attended during the week, with an average attendance of 48per day.

After the summer break the first St. Walburg Royal Purple meeting took place Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck supper and business meeting conducted by HRL Georgina Schneider that followed.

Sunday was a beautiful sunny day with little wind. It is wonderful to have good harvest weather continuing. A few farmers have completed their harvesting operations.

The Access Communications Children's Fund has made a major donation to the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club. According to the press release, the funding will be used towards to provide free evening programming for youth in the community.

Sept 14, Sons of Norway Lodge had visitors from Norway. Two language professors came to North Battleford to interview lodge members who learned and spoke Norwegian, as children, in the home.
