SSAI's executive realizes the problems of declining membership that the majority of seniors' centres are experiencing and are very determined to try to change that situation.

Munn's store is soon to be demolished. It's so sad when a part of history comes down. The Maymont Trading Company was built in 1906 by John Reid and Robert McLaren, operating until approximately 1917 when Mr. J. Patterson bought the business.

It has been a busy few weeks at Maymont Central School. Soccer, coached by Ryan and Krista Nickell, with assistance from Rachel McAllister, is in full swing. Both the girls and boys attended a two-day tournament in North Battleford.

After a number of good fall days, the weather Sunday was different. The temperature around noon was 21 C, but during the afternoon it cooled off considerably, the wind was very strong and there was a light shower of rain.

Since 2005, the students and staff of École Monseigneur Blaise Morand have taken part in the annual Terry Fox School Walk, and have raised a total of $6,345.87. A goal of $1,000 was set for this year's walk, Sept.

Culture Day was celebrated Sept. 28 with a full day of events beginning with a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Quite a number of people participated in the Amazing Walk that began at the community centre.

Living Sky School Division and their support staff's union have no beefs with one another.
