Perfect harvest weather is what we are enjoying and the harvest is progressing well. We can just hope there is a continuation of this weather for some time. School has been in session for a couple of weeks now.

Hay baled up, crops being harvested

It has been so dry and hot in the local area for some time, but it's ideal weather for the haymakers to finish up their winter supply of bales, and all in dry condition. Many grass areas and hay meadows have been cut and are all baled up.

Visiting with Vic and Bev Hult recently were Stefan Neilsen and Karoline Mortensen from Denmark. Stefan was a trainee at the Hult farm in 2008. While here they visited many family and friends in the area.

The Manitou Pioneers Museum in Neilburg was the site of a Fall Family Fun Day Sept 7 as they played host to approximately 200 guests. Children were welcomed with a loot bag of assorted goodies.
