Pee Wee Barons 2 attended a tournament in Turtleford on the weekend. In the first game they met up with St Walburg. It was a slow start for the Barons leading 2-1 after one period.

The Battlefords Stars weren’t able to complete a sweep in Swift Current against the Legionnaires this past weekend. The Stars dropped the second game Sunday by a 4-1 margin, after winning the Saturday contest 4-2.

If there’s one thing Battlefords hockey teams seem to have in common lately, it’s their troubles beating Weyburn.

A third period comeback fell short Saturday night as the Battlefords Sharks lost on the road to the Weyburn Gold Wings 3-2 in midget female AAA hockey action.

The season is over for John Paul II Crusaders football. The Crusaders took on the Melfort Comets in Melfort on Saturday in the provincial semifinal, and were defeated decisively by a 45-15 final score.
