After the first season of football at John Paul II Collegiate in 2011, the coaches and players are back for year two.

With six plays left in the game and down four points, the Huskies marched down Kinsmen Field and put the pressure on the Gophers. On the last play the Huskies tossed the ball up and scored the winning touchdown to win 15-13.

The Battlefords AAA Sharks played two exhibition games on the weekend against Lloydminster. Despite losing 7-1 and 4-1 there is definitely a positive vibe around the team enter the 2012-13 season.

In the final SGI Canada Saskatchewan Junior Order of Merit Tour event of the season, Unity's Justin Wood impressed in the 17 and 18 year old division. Wood golfed in the tour championship at the Cooke Municipal Golf Course and shot 73 and 74.

After knocking off the rust earlier in the week the six North Battleford Touch Football League teams were in action again Thursday. The Rhinos moved to 2-0 win a 40-12 win over the Broncos.

Expect the Battlefords AAA Sharks defence to be strong for the 2012-13 season, or at least that was the indication from tryout camp.
