Richard [Dick] Doepker was born the youngest of 12 on a farm near Annaheim. He graduated from high school at St. Peters College in Muenster and went to Saskatoon to work and pitch for the Saskatoon Moores.

Michael Phelps has won eight medals during one Olympic swimming event, twice, but Alex Anderson Callbeck passed that mark while she competed in the Saskatchewan Summer Games.

It was a hard loss for the Muenster Red Sox.

They had a good crowd and a good result from their last home games of the season. The Marysburg Royals senior baseball team played their last doubleheader at home on July 29, and trounced the Saskatoon Diggers in both games.

The late Walter "Gus" Kyle of Dysart will be inducted posthumously, into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame Aug. 18 along with other derserving individuals players, builders a team, family and community. Kyle was born Sept.
