The MASY Challenge is a synchronized swimming competition that annually features the best swimmers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C and the Yukon.

It was easier to run with the wind than against it but athletes bravely faced it both ways last week at the Battle River Division Track and Field Meet.

Last weekend marked the end of the 2012 high school badminton season, the provincial championship took place in Melfort. The girls' doubles team of Haley Enns and Meghan Lybeck were perfect on the weekend, as they earned the provincial gold medal.

Just because people expect a team to win the championship doesn't mean it will come easily.

There are no tee times needed or green fees to be paid, but the Battlefords now have a new way to golf.

The wind blew Monday, but that didn't stop 44 New Horizons from going out to golf at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club. The Scotts, Bernice and Wally, were winners once again with the help of Nester Brunwald and Bruce Dalshaug.
