For over 30 years I have been a proud resident of our beautiful historic town of Battleford. I have been a member of our Volunteer Fire Department for the last 12 years, and a Table Mountain Ski Patrol for three.

Since building our home in Battleford 30 years ago, my wife and I have been involved in sports, playing ball and hockey and coaching many levels of hockey including the North Stars.

I am in my third term on North Battleford City Council. I was born, raised and educated in the Battlefords and returned after university to raise a family with my wife. I am an elementary school principal.

I have been a resident of Battleford for the past 35 years and would like to be a part of the new administration being voted in.

We need to make our community be and "feel" safe by addressing the social, health and criminal issues making this an undesirable city.

I was born and raised in Battleford and have three grown children and a grandson. Active member of the community, currently on the Battleford Parks and Rec board and a volunteer for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

It's a pleasure and a privilege, these past three years, representing you as your councillor, locally, on council, eight other appointed boards and/or committees as well provincially at SUMA and federally at FCM.

Donna Lavin raised a few eyebrows at the last town council meeting for the current mayor and council before the Oct. 24 election.

I have 21 years experience in the financial services industry and own and manage Hein Financial Group. I have also worked in the construction industry and in agriculture, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the needs of the Battlefords region.

The town of Battleford had its all candidates forum Wednesday at Fort Battleford, with the major announcement that the race was dropping from an eight-way to a seven-way race.
