A special Heritage Day will be held at the historic Claybank Brick Plant. The Heritage Day is set for Sunday, June 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The entrance free is $10 per person or $25 per family. Ages six years and under get in for free.

Brett Berkner was recently introduced as the new manager for the Weyburn Curling Club. Berkner will replace present manager Glenn Tollefson, who is retiring from the position after 26 years of being the manager.

Two competitors go head-to-head as they try to stretch as far as they can against a bungee cord to place their baton on the velcro bar in the middle, in one of the games set up for the Cobra Games on Friday at the Weyburn Junior High.

This year’s Queen City Pride Festival in Regina has taken on even greater significance in light of the recent shooting tragedy in Orlando, Florida. The Pride Festival officially started with a flag raising at Regina’s City Hall on June 20.

The Weyburn Red Wings board of directors elected their positions on June 21, following their annual general meeting. Brent Stephanson has been elected as the new president, after serving one year on the board as alternate governor.
