If you are a hunter you were probably at the Gallagher Centre at some point over the weekend. If you weren't there, you should have been there.

March Madness is the name given to the annual basketball tournament in the USA played amongst the various college teams. Suddenly, March Madness can be applied to a whole bunch of other stuff completely unrelated to basketball.

Almost 200 people came out over the weekend to the Broken Arrow Archery 3D archery shoot at the Agripavillion. It was held together with the Parkland Outdoor expo which was held inside the Flexihall.

The two Yorkton high school boys basketball teams played each other on Saturday for what is likely their final match together this season.

The Yorkton Wildlife Federation capped off another good year with an awards banquet held last Saturday at the St. Marys Ukrainian Centre.

Brandey Blahut and Morgan Sapara each knocked down back to back free throws down the stretch to ice a 44-40 Yorkton Regional High School win over the Melville Comprehensive School Cobras on Saturday afternoon.

Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS.

The Sacred Heart senior girls basketball team headed to Langenberg to take part in a five-team tournament on the first weekend of March. Sacred Heart played Rocanville on Friday night and won 38-32.

Two hundred competitive swimmers from across the province recently converged on the Gallagher Centre swimming pool. The Yorkton Storm Speed Swim Club (YSSC) hosted the Provincial "A" Short Course Swim Meet.

The cheer squad of the Yorkton Regional High School have been a very busy group. Headed by coach Jennifer Ingham, the cheer squad took part in a competition held at the University of Regina last weekend (pictured below).
