The annual hockey game fundraiser is set for March 21. The staff of both Yorkton high schools will face off against the students in a fun game at the Farrell Agencies Arena.

Three Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association (SHSAA) high school provincial curling championships will be contested this coming weekend, March 2-4, 2012.

The Yorkton United U8 Blazers attended Winterfest in Regina Jan. 27 - 29. This was their second tournament of the season and once again the Blazers showed off their talents and composure and brought home the gold medal.

The 2012 Yorkton Farrell Agencies/Ottenbreit Sanitation Initiation tournament will be held at the Farrell Agencies Arena and Kinsmen Arena on March 3-4, 2012.

Coach Darrell Sobkow and his Clean Spot novice hockey team are getting ready for upcoming playoff action. On Feb. 27 they head to Langenburg. On Feb. 29., they play the Thorsness novice Terriers at the Yorkton Kinsmen Arena.

The Cab Clothing Yorkton Regional High School Male Athlete of the Month for November is Jason Blommaert. A Gr. 12 student who has maintained a good academic average, has special interest in both construction and welding.

The Sherring Gold Pee Wee AA Yorkton Terriers hockey team qualified for a tournament which took them to Quebec for 10 days.

The Yorkton Terriers clinched second place in the SJHL Sherwood Conference with a home ice win last Wednesday over the LaRonge Icewolves.

Of approximately 41 players in the Training to Train Year One provincial soccer team, three Yorkton United players were identified to return for the winter/spring training events.

Fresh off of their Russell Initiation Tournament's A side Championship win, the Yorkton Initiation Tim Hortons Terriers took to the road again to attend the Esterhazy Initiation Tournament on Feb. 4.
