The Yorkton Harvest held their awards banquet recently at the Gallagher Centre. On top of handing out the various trophies, head coach Jeff Odgers announced that the team will be going through more changes for next season.

The Yorkton Bantam A Terriers combined hockey team played Estevan in back to back games recently. Yorkton won by scores of 10-4 and 2-1. Most recently was Sunday afternoon at the Kinsmen Arena.

The Yorkton novice hockey teams are well into their post season action.

A Yorkton youth bowler, 10-year-old Ashley Schrader is headed to Newfoundland in May to compete at the national level. Ashley won the provincial Bantam Girls' Youth Bowling Council (YBC) crown in Saskatoon recently.

If it is true that Canadians drink more than 2.3 billion litres of beer each year, I wonder how much of that is consumed on St. Patrick's Day? Why do people insist on drinking green beer on St. Patrick's Day? It tastes terrible.

the Yorkton Cross Country Ski Club held a Ski Safari on the trails at Deer Park. Lions, tigers, zebras, crocodiles and even some gentler deer, rabbits and moose.

The Sacred Heart senior boys basketball team also played in the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association high school regional tournament. Coach Garrett Karcha said they won their first game, a 74-62 decision over Swift Current.

The Yorkton Terriers held their annual awards banquet Friday, wrapping up their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season. Club president Lyle Walsh said in spite of losing out in their first playoff series to Melville, it was still a good year.

By the numbers on the official copy of the game sheet, the Yorkton Terrier Quizno's Subs bantam boys hockey team apparently couldn't wait to get back to business following a long layoff from their last game.

The Yorkton Terriers have been turfed from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoffs.
