Bowman Brothers’ beginnings date back to 1907 when they ventured from Eastern Canada to the West and opened up bicycle sales and repair shops.

Continued wet weather has resulted in very little harvest progress since the beginning of October. Eighty-two per cent of the 2016 crop has been combined, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture’s Weekly Crop Report.

The Sacred Heart High School Saints football team put up a tough fight, but they were not able to come out on top of their first round playoff game against Fort Qu’Appelle over the weekend. The final score of the game was 20-12.

The Yorkton Regional High School boys soccer team has had a successful and eventful season which has culminated in a provincial silver medal this past weekend in Regina.

Police are refusing to release any information about a “potentially dangerous situation” they responded to on Monday afternoon that prompted three local schools to implement the “hold and secure” protocol.

The Saskatchewan Provincial Age Class Cross-Country Championships were held in Yorkton on Saturday, Oct. 22. Yorkton had a great showing at the meet, with many high place finishes.

The Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League are in the middle of a long streak of away games. They’ve had a hard time finishing on top while playing away from their home ice at the Farrell Agencies Arena (FAA).

Danny Warren, who is well-known around Yorkton as “Hotshot Danny Duggan,” had a big week in his wrestling career. Warren is the general manager of Canadian Wrestling Elite, a company who often visits Yorkton while on tour with their shows.

Whether the Saskatchewan legislature was ever a great place for debates is … well … debatable.
