Construction value nears $8 million in Battleford

Battleford’s 2015 construction permit values are heading toward the $8 million mark. For the year to date through the end of November, 46 permits have been issued for $7.8 million, compared with 64 permits for $25.7 million a year earlier.

Sudden death investigated

Battlefords RCMP are investigating the sudden death of a 36-year-old woman in North Battleford Tuesday. Police say a call was received of a woman in medical distress in front of a residence on the 100 block of 103rd Street at 9:45 p.m.
