The fields are quiet now with most of the harvest complete. A few fields of canola remain in swath. Canola has had a difficult year and is not drying as it should. In the yards, fall clean up is underway and is taking some time.

Three businesses located on Thatcher Avenue and one on the 2700 block of 99th Street were victims of break and enters Sept. 20. All businesses victimized by the early morning break ins sustained damage and property was stolen.

As if North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services hasn't been busy enough, they were once again forced to respond to yet another nuisance garbage bin fire Sunday. The fire was in a dumpster in the alley in the 9000 block of Panton Avenue.

North Battleford city council was back to lowering the boom on two rundown properties at their council meeting on Monday night.

Emergency crews responded Thursday to a two-vehicle accident that resulted in injuries. The accident was at the corner of 15th Avenue and 102nd Street. A van and a truck collided at the scene around 9:50 p.m.

My week started the same as any other week at work. That is until our gas pumper walked into the store with a tiny kitten that was obviously over heated, hurt and unresponsive. It had arrived under the hood of a woman's vehicle.
