The UCW held their annual spring, tea, plant and bake sale May 14 in the Speers Recreation Centre. It was well attended by people from Speers, Hafford, Maymont, North Battleford and Richard.

Man charged in stabbing on 104th Street

A 19-year-old North Battleford man was in court Monday charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Charged is Dylan Paskemin of North Battleford.

House fire claims life in Glaslyn

A fire in a house trailer has claimed the life of a man in Glaslyn. RCMP and Glaslyn volunteer firefighters responded to the fire about 1:20 a.m. Thursday. The house trailer was described as fully engulfed in flames.
