The Battlefords Sailing Club have reached their golden anniversary. The club is celebrating its 50th year of operation with events beginning this weekend.

Jared Blaquiere from Edam helped the Prince Albert Mintos win the Western Regional Championship in Prince Albert on April 6 with a 4-3 victory over the Notre Dame Argos. The Mintos went on to capture the Telus Cup in Moose Jaw April 27.

The Lloydminster Twins took first place away from the Border City Blue Jays last week in NSRBL action. The Twins and the Blue Jays renewed their rivalry June 12, with the Twins edging the Blue Jays 2-0.
