Bantam Sharks start season on winning note
Oct. 27, the Battlefords Bantam Sharks opened their East Central Alberta Female Hockey League season and did so with a 5-4 win over Viking at the Civic Centre. The next day, the Sharks travelled to Vermilion and earned an 8-0 victory.

The Battlefords Midget Stars hold the eighth spot in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League standings after earning three of a possible four points on home ice. "We were happy with getting three of four points," said Stars head coach Martin Smith.
