The Battlefords Midget Stars were doing some major housing cleaning on the weekend, not with their personnel or roster, but on the ice, as they earned their first weekend sweep since Jan. 15 and 16 of 2011.

The Edam Royals hosted the junior boys NWSD district volleyball playoffs, Oct. 27. There were eight teams which qualified for the district playoffs after competing in their division playoffs. The teams were divided into two pools of four teams.
