Beaver Blues and Settlers undefeated

Two of the eight teams in the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League are perfect heading into the Christmas break. The Battleford Beaver Blues are 4-0-0-0 on the season with their most recent wins coming by 14-4 and 13-4 scores.

It will be a tropical holiday for a group of girls from Humboldt. The Humboldt Basketball Club, consisting of nine girls from Humboldt and one from Outlook, will be headed to Hawaii from December 17 to January 4 to play basketball.

It was a battle two nights running, but the Broncos emerged victorious from their trip north last week. The Humboldt Broncos travelled to LaRonge December 16 for a two-game series against the Ice Wolves.

December 21Battlefords North Stars host the Humboldt Broncos in SJHL action. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Centre. December 21Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League has the Battlefords Beaver Blues in Glaslyn for an 8 p.m. start.

The North Saskatchewan River Hockey League will break for a few days for Christmas, and for some teams that also marks the halfway point of their season. St. Walburg remains the class of the league at 11-0-0.
