Local teams have slid their best foot forward on curling sheets across the province and clashed with some of the best teams Saskatchewan has to offer.

Over the weekend, the Melfort Mustangs managed to do what no other team in the SJHL has been able to do since the end of November - beat the Humboldt Broncos.

It was a back and forth battle between the Battlefords North Stars and Melville Millionaires Tuesday, but it was Brody Luhning's overtime winner that sent the North Stars and their fans home happy.
