Last season, in the first round of the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League playoffs, the Meadow Lake White Sox beat out the North Battleford Beavers in three games.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League announced the appointment of Bill Chow as the league's new president Thursday. Chow, 52, hails from Prince Albert and has worked with the Prince Albert Police Service for the past 29 years.

The first ever Battlefords club basketball for boys in Grades 4 to 6 began in November and their first season came to an end last month.
