MELFORT — This year’s 4-H Regional Melfort Beef Show and Sale raised almost $20,000 to support the Pediatric Epilepsy Program of Saskatchewan. The money is going through the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

ARCHERWILL — A five-fingered discount at the Archerwill Bar has the Greenwater RCMP asking for help. Between July 4 at 10 p.m. and July 5 at 5 a.m., the front window of the bar was broken and beer and liquor taken out of the fridge.

ARBORFIELD — The pilot of a crop duster died after their plane crashed near Arborfield. The crash of the C188B Cessna happened July 12. The Transportation Safety Board said they’ve been told there was a fire after impact.
