The Estevan Comprehensive School senior boys' basketball team has advanced to regionals after finishing second at its conference championship on Saturday in Wilcox.

From the Bruins: Hello Bruins fans! Well, We are sad to say that the season has come to an end. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for making this season a success in so many ways.

The Wings took on the Regina Wild on March 3 and although they lost both of their matches against the Wild in regular season they came out hard and beat the Wild 6-3.

Four young wrestlers from Weyburn recently participated in the 2012 Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association's Regional Wrestling event held March 3 at St. Mary's High School in Prince Albert.

It has been a very fast paced and energized hockey season to say the least for these young hockey players. With practice twice a week and games every weekend, very little did you hear a complaint out of these fine hockey players in the making.

Who doesn't love playoff hockey? MOMS, that's who, it's too nerve racking to watch and not be able to do anything but cheer, you think the louder you cheer the faster they'll skate or the better they'll shoot, but in the end it comes down to the kids

The Weyburn Junior High B Boys Basketball team took home 1st place in the Stoughton Bulldog Basketball Classic held March 2 to 4. WJH played an intense game against Oxbow that ended up going into overtime. In the end Weyburn pulled out a 44-41 win.

Haley Ronyk scored with 3:53 left in regulation to launch the Estevan Extreme Bruins into the bantam A provincial final during a 3-2 win over the Springside Parkland Lions on Sunday.

Well, this certainly was not the way the Estevan Bruins envisioned this series going.
