For the past three years, to celebrate Archives Week in February, the City of North Battleford Historic Archives has set up displays at the Co-op Mall and the Frontier Mall.

Darlene Robb took her parents, Milt and Lil McMillan, to Lloydminster to Ella Rumberg's 100th birthday. Ella was their neighbour when they lived in the Milleton district.

It was a warm sunny day Sept. 9 when 40 seniors registered for the Saskatchewan Seniors Fitness Association 55+ games day at the senior centre in St. Walburg. Arriving visitors were greeted and registered by Gladys Carnell, Inge Knopf and Donna Hall.

Oct. 4, 2010, life changed for the Schneider family. After a trip to Saskatoon's Royal University Hospital by ambulance, they were shocked to discover their daughter had developed Type 1 diabetes.

Wellness clinics resume

The regular monthly wellness clinic was held at Waseca Community Centre Sept. 15. Flu shots are available at he October clinic each year. Plan to have your flu shot at the clinic Oct. 20.

Bingo was played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre Sept. 7 with good attendance. Volunteer callers were Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern. Lunch was supplied by Bev Stewart and Dorothy Harmel. Kaiser was played Sept.

Harvest operations have advanced quickly during the past week, however the forecast for Monday was for showers. Let's hope the forecasters were wrong, as they are so often.
