RCMP Major Crime Unit North have arrested and charged Nicholas Clifford Giroux, 36, with second degree murder. Giroux appeared in court in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday afternoon and his case was adjourned to Oct. 4 at 9:30 am.

Maidstone made history Sept. 24 as the province's first Collaborative Emergency Centre in the province was officially opened there.

Battlefords RCMP are reporting a homicide at a local hotel in the early hours of Monday. RCMP say they responded to a report of a stabbing at the downtown Travelodge at just after 4 a.m.

Chad Weasel, 26, appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday, charged with sexual assault following two alleged incidents Saturday evening. According to RCMP, the first incident took place before 7 p.m. Saturday.
