The Maidstone/Turtleford Midget Jets have had a successful regular season and are looking for a S.T.E.P. League title heading into March. After regular season play the Jets ended up in second place with a record of 18-3-0, second only to Meadow Lake.

The North Saskatchewan River Hockey League's championship series got started Saturday as the first overall St. Walburg Eagles hosted the second overall Wilkie Outlaws.

Nine teams participated in the Twin Rivers Curling Club 82nd annual River Rockers Bonspiel. The women's bonspiel was moved up earlier in the season this time around, but it was still great curling.

The Humboldt Broncos hosted the Kindersley Klippers in their final 2012-13 regular season game Tuesday, February 26. Originally scheduled for February 2, mechanical issues with the Klippers' bus saw the game moved to February 26.

The official unveiling of the new field house, the final component of the CUPlex, was Tuesday, but eight volleyball teams had a sneak peak at the new facility.

The deadline is quickly approaching for submissions and nominations for two important honours within the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The deadline to apply for the Maroniuk-Marcoux Scholarship Award is March 15.

Martin Smith has always had a passion for hockey and it showed through this season, as he was presented with the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League Coach of the Year.
