The Battlefords Midget Stars are preparing for the team's first playoff action in nearly 10 years. The team is also handing out cash off the ice to the 2012-13 Midget Stars Lottery Winners.

"It is a year where anyone can beat anyone," said Broncos' head coach Dean Brockman Wednesday, February 20. "The team who gets hot in the playoffs will win the league.

The Melville Millionaires arrived in Humboldt Friday, February 22 to take on the hometown Broncos. Humboldt was battling for top spot in the league while Melville was battling for first place in the Sherwood division of the SJHL.
