Before the Battlefords North Stars they took the ice against Flin Flon they announced another transaction. The North Stars traded 20-year-old forward Justin Waskewitch to the OCN Blizzard of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

The new Battlefords Co-op Aquatic Centre was put to full use over the weekend with the Marnie Eistetter Synchronized Swimming Figures Meet. The provincial Figures Meet was Sunday while a Figures Camp was held Saturday at the new Aquatic Centre.
